Product Review Disclosure Policy

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that Sharon Parq Associates, Inc., disclose any relationship we have between a product manufacturer or service provider when we write about a product or service. We periodically publish product reviews on our various web sites (primarily Tips.Net sites), and when those reviews are performed by employees or agents of Sharon Parq Associates, these are the guidelines under which those reviews are done:

  1. We are never paid to do a review. We never accept money to review a product or service. We invest our own time to review and test products. We pay any costs required to produce the reviews.
  2. We may not pay for the products we test. They are often sent to us by the manufacturer. We may, from time to time, request a product. Other times the manufacturer may approach us about doing a review.
  3. When a manufacturer sends us a product or service, we are under no obligation to produce a review, and we are certainly under no oblication to produce a favorable review. We choose to do reviews that we, in our sole discretion, feel will be of interest to our readers.
  4. We don't return the products after testing or review. In some cases the product is used up or destroyed. In other cases, the product may be damaged during the testing and review. In other cases we dispose of products as we see fit, but they are never sold or traded for other goods or services.

It is beneficial for you, as a consumer, to understand the relationship between Sharon Parq Associates, Inc., and the manufacturers of any product or service we choose to review. If you have any questions about our policy or if you, as a reader, would like us to consider reviewing a particular product, feel free to contact us. Send a personal e-mail to allen (at) sharonparq.com.
